Methodology
Research approach and source of data:In order to conduct the research effectively, it is very crucial to identify the organizations having leadership styles. In order to achieve the research objective, primary and secondary data will be used. Primary data will be gathered by the structured questionnaire. In the business management assignment, convenience sampling method will be used and information will be collected from 50 leaders of commercial banks by questionnaire. Further, on the basis of literature review, a well structured and framed questionnaire will be developed. The questionnaire will have 30 questions which would be divided in to two parts. First part will include demographic details of the participants and second part will include the questions related leadership behavior and factors affecting their leadership performance within the organization. Further, the secondary data will be gathered from research articles, newspapers, reports, and periodicals (Flick, 2015).
Data collection and analysis technique: The qualitative approach will be used to conduct this study. The numeric data would be converted in the statistical representations by the quantitative approach of the study. In addition to this, probability and non-probability sampling method will also be used to analyze and examine the responses of participants who are involved in the study. The rational of the selection of respondents, distribution of questionnaire and collection of valuable information will be documented properly (Zikmund, 2010). This would be descriptive study which identify and observe various factors that have significant impact on the leadership practices within the organizations. In the study, convenience sampling method will be used and information will be collected from 50 leaders of commercial banks by questionnaire.
In order achieve the research objectives i.e. factors affecting leadership practices within the organizations, the descriptive statistics will be used. This method will be helpful for analyzing and interpreting the collected data. Accordingly, excel will also be used to analyze the data in table, charts, graphs and percentage related to research topic. The key advantage of this method is that the method enables analyzing and using all the data collected from primary, secondary and literature review.
Organization of the study: This paper will include five chapters. The structure of this particular research is as follows:
- First chapter will be introduction, in which the basic concept of leadership and purpose of the research will be given,
- Second chapter will be literature review, in which the studies done by various researchers will be analyzed,
- Third chapter will focus on research design and methodology. This chapter will include method of data collection, survey methods and techniques of data analysis will be discussed,
- In chapter four, there will be result and discussion of overall study, and
- In chapter five, there will be summary, conclusion and recommendations for further studies.
Budget: This project would be completed within 10 weeks. So, this would require $6000 for conducting proper research. The justification for proposed research is as follows:
