Introduction
This main purpose of this indigenous health reflective essay is to shed light on the health and community of indigenous group. Over the years, there has been increasing emphasis upon the notions of understanding definite health outcomes for individuals. It eventually results in the complex interaction that exists between biological factors and eventually manifests certain cultural circumstances that helps in sharing thoughts of people’s lives. However, in the present day scenario, it has been found that, there has been a considerable growth and development in indigenous health. However, the gap is not effectively fulfilled. With the introduction of interactive healthcare systems, it has eventually resulted in certain dominant perspectives that need to be assessed.
Therefore, the primary aim of this study is to be able to locate and effectively annotate the notions of indigenous health and community. The study will also talk about the definite social and cultural factors that eventually lead to indigenous health care problems. Furthermore, the study would emphasise upon the notions of current health issues that 21st century indigenous people tend to face in Australia.
Identification of historical and cultural factors that contribute to the context of indigenous health care problems
As per my research into the definite aspect, I have found out that, there are varied factors that eventually lead to the varied indigenous health problems. I cannot deny the fact that, these factors tend to act as an epitome of varied perspectives that help in the propagation of healthcare problems that are being faced by the Indigenous people of Australia. In addition to this, it is hence important to be able to denote the definite historical as well as cultural factors that are responsible for the indigenous healthcare problems (Harriss et al. 2018).
The social determinants of the indigenous healthcare community led me to believe that, the ecological balance needs to be restored in their area, which might be somewhat responsible for the massive health problems. On the other hand, as per my personal experience regarding my work with the indigenous people, it led me to understand that, with the help of the provision of effective healthcare support and medical solutions, it will be easy and convenient to facilitate my determination of assuming the necessary medical perspectives. I need to also understand the definite health issues that are being faced by them so that I can offer them cost effective and environmental convenience in healthcare premises.
The first and foremost aspect I tend to take into account in this indigenous health reflective essay is the fact that, there has been a strong social connection to family and kin. It is further characterised by a definite intensification of the cultural obligations that historically contributes to the indigenous healthcare problems. The persistent desire towards retaining cultural identity as well as distinctiveness might be both positive and negative and it influences health risk behaviour. My understanding further helped me in understanding that the separation between indigenous and non-indigenous social connection have appeared and eventually tends to foster marginalisation and racism within the effectual aspects of social media (Ford et al., 2018). The communication between the indigenous and non-indigenous people might be interrupted due to the distrust among their groups, which has been a pertaining historical factor that contributes to the indigenous health problems to a great extent. Another obvious perspective that comes into the forefront is the aspect that, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people live in remote communities. It eventually makes them prone to health issues and is unfortunately disadvantaged when it comes to the availability of healthcare services (Velásquez et al. 2018).
On the other hand, I should also emphasise on the fact that the social and cultural factors eventually result in contributing to the healthcare issues that are being faced by the indigenous people. However, the cultural factors associated with health care issues among the indigenous people is involved with the prevalence of major behavioural as well as biomedical health risk factors, it is generally considered higher among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in comparison to other Australians. In addition to this, the notions of physical inactivity are one of the major factors that are capable of further initiating varied risks (Reading & Greenwood, 2018).
The major outcome outlined in this indigenous health reflective essay that is prevalent due to physical inactivity is the notion of cardiovascular disease as well as hypertension and diabetes. Hence, from this point of view, I can enumerate the fact that, the notion of cultural factors tend to play an important role towards understanding the definite ways with the help of which the indigenous health issues can be taken into account. It helps in understanding the healthcare gaps that is associated with health inequalities that are prevalent in indigenous people in Australia. The range of problems that I have discovered further tends to act as a manifestation of assessment that creates an interrelationship between observed behavioural risks and that of individual participation and outcomes that are prevalent within healthcare interventions.
Impact of historical events
Every person knows the history of the Aboriginal and the Indigenous people across the globe. It can be stated that, over the years, there has been a considerable implications that have been lodged over the years and helps in describing historical events that are associated with the events and issues. However, it is important to be able to empower indigenous Australian people, which include co-workers that help in advocating the notions of self-determination and that of equity and social justice (Albert, Gillespie & Bruce, 2019). The historical events that have taken place over the years tend to play an important role.
My experience towards attending nursing program with indigenous people made me understand the definite aspects that are associated with indigenous health and community. My notion of planning and effectively delivering definite services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait children helped me understand the social problems and approaches that are considered characteristic aspects. The significant variation that is evident across the remote communities help me to support the indigenous families.
My first experience of working with the indigenous people is when I was appointed as the nurse in indigenous area to look after the children. I found that the children in the indigenous community are mostly affected by health problems that are associated with weak immunity system. Hence, I had to provide significant medical solution to the children effectively.
The second moment in my profession was towards helping and offering support this community when I had to visit them again in order to provide a proper medical support to the community. In this perspective, I was to offer practical advice and solutions to these people so that they can be aware of their health concerns. My third experience of working with the aboriginals and indigenous health was that, I received information regarding the indigenous health and community, which led me to believe that, they are in dire need of proper ,medical process. Hence, I initiated monthly-based medical check-up for the indigenous community, which is cost effective.
This cultural gap exists even in the present day and the barriers towards the gaining of living skills and lack of trust among the institutions are some of the implications of the historical events that took place on the indigenous Australian people. Hence from this definite point of view, I can assess and emphasis on the fact that, the cross-cultural curriculum of the indigenous people is important to understand as it is another major outcome of historical events that have taken place over the years (Goldberg, Cox, Hoang & Baldock, 2018).
Impact of contemporary society and culture on the health of indigenous Australians
Processing of the effective cultural identity shown to protect the mental health-related symptoms that prompted by various discrimination. I have seen that the cultural engagement and cultural identity have engaged with the overall factors that connect with the health of indigenous Australians (Dudgeon & Walker, 2015). I have learned that the strong indigenous cultural identity mentioned in this indigenous health reflective essay focuses on the participants that help to build the overall significance based on future work approaches and engagement.
Effective future management
I have seen that the cultural engagement thus correlates with the correctional context in order to generate recidivism directly. The cultural relationship and engagement focus on the greater need for the correctional approaches that can systematically build the environment for Indigenous people. The positive cultural identity helps to generate self-worth, social support, purpose, and belonging. The potential health benefits are necessary in order to sustain a strong cultural identity. For me, the overall procedure has engaged with the effective cultural activities that the Indigenous people consider creating proper future approaches. The processing of efficient cultural identity enhances self-esteem, promote resilience, engage as the protective mechanism and manage to concentrate on the mental health symptoms (Bodkin-Andrews & Carlson, 2016). The cultural identity also decreases discrimination that builds a proper society to deal and manage future approaches.
Sustaining cultural identity
Sustaining the strong cultural identity also helps to generate emotional and social well-being for the Indigenous Australian. From my view, the entire prospect of this identity helps to cultivate and maintain through participating in relationship management that concentrates on family, traditional lands and community.

The strengthening of the cultural prospect assists to build positive coping approaches and considers resilience that facilitates into building life balance and protect against any adverse situation. The cultural and social engagement also helps to generate proper approaches based on the enhanced self-assed health prospect by managing suitable work integration and association (Bodkin-Andrews & Carlson, 2016). My understanding has focused on the employment outcomes and life satisfaction can generate from this aspect so that the proper relationship management can able to structure in this indigenous health reflective essay.
Managing quality of life
The protective approaches and quality of life can be managed by associating with the health indicators and socio-economic approaches that build systematic work engagement. The protective influence and little attention towards the lifestyle also help to manage the proper societal activities (Willox et al. 2015). I have seen that the cultural strength has managed to generate a particular connection with the entire approaches that build positive socio-economic circumstances. The regional evidence and management also concentrate on the proper justice system for Indigenous Australians. Some of the pro-social activities and positive attitude has shown in this context so that the overall strength and adjustment can able to happen properly. The explicit attention has concentrated on the proper cultural engagement by assessing a meaningful connection with particular behavioural conduct. Cultural expression and identity also focused on various opportunities while taking care of the resources.
How Indigenous health reflective essay discuss key health issues faced by Indigenous Australians in 21st century?
In the 21st century, the Indigenous people in Australia face different types of issues considering the health and social approaches. The different challenges derive from-
- The demographical changes and disease patterns in the population ages along with the burden of some chronic illness also grows
- The medical advancement also enhances the cost of medical things as the transparent, comprehensive and efficient processes involved with the health-based technologies
- The workforce supply along with the distribution processing also faces major issues in this segment as well
- The quality and safety engagement also follows some of the persistent concerns
- Some of the uncertainties related to the public and private life balance in the segment of funding and provisions created different types of complexities in this segment

The roles and responsibilities of urban planning and implementation discussed in this indigenous health reflective essay also face some issues in this segment as the sustainable work engagement and planning cannot able to generate within time (Bailey et al. 2017). Achieving equity of life and managing health-based recognition is quite tough to manage in this aspect. The ultimate search for suitable planning and lasting solutions that concentrate on the strategic work based engagement. The health-related issues need to design properly so that the effective planning and implementation of suitable work assessment can able to generate systematically. The problems are associated with the initial segments that need to address within the time otherwise, it cannot able to create a proper activity-based pathway. The Australian government has confronted some channelling in the delivery and funding of health care. The health systems need to present well with the further planning based approaches so that the standard work integration can able to generate systematically. I have also understood that the various issues mainly generate from the burden of chronic illness and inequalities that create various issues concentrating on the health-based reformation. For the chronic illnesses, there is no prevention or cure and the Indigenous people are facing some major issues in creating an appropriate solution (Dudgeon & Walker, 2015). Providing service to the remote communities and rehabilitate the services also needs appropriate planning so that the effective work processing and involvement can able to structure within time. Growing the patient costs and workforce-related shortages generates various issues in this segment as well.
On the other hand, the national leadership and its engagement are also not perfect to manage the definitive solution for the health care systems. The Australian faces issues connecting with workforce and community health management as the significant planning and integration are not appropriate in this segment (Taylor & Guerin, 2019). The population-related challenges are also quite visible in this segment, as the increasing disability has created morbidity, mortality and health care costs as well.
Conclusion
It can be concluded from the whole segment of this Indigenous health reflective essay that the Indigenous Australian needs proper care and support to generate an effective framework based on future care integration. The Australian Government is struggling to generate identified human rights concern for the people with a commitment to prove appropriate solution as well. The government has also acknowledged that inequality has generated major issues to the interconnected society and suitable rights along with work-based engagement need to strategize in this process. Providence of human rights framework and its engagement can able to generate potential health impact and service integration.
