Answer

Introduction

When it comes to the Chamber Campaign in Colombia assignment, there are several parts to investigate. The campaign aims to advance financial development, support nearby businesses, and advocate for policies that advantage the business community. One important angle of this campaign is the focus on making smart and sustainable cities. These cities use innovation, information, and innovative practises to upgrade effectiveness, sustainability, and the overall quality of life for residents (Anthopoulos, 2015).

In this case, we are going to discuss into the background of the Chamber Campaign in Colombia assignment and take a closer look at the proposed activities. We will look at how these activities align with the theory of smart and sustainable cities, which emphasises the use of innovation and sustainable practises to make environmentally friendly, socially comprehensive, and financially prosperous urban areas. By investigating this case, we trust to pick up bits of knowledge about the endeavours being made in Colombia to build more intelligent, more sustainable cities and understand the potential effects of these activities.

Background to the Case Study

In this case study, the city mentioned is Bogotá. Bogotá is the capital of Colombia and has a population of about 7.5 million people. The city economy is developed and diversified. Its commercial and activities are increasing significantly. The main financial and banking centres of Colombia are in Bogotá (Estevez et al., 2016). The chamber campaign is a project that is implemented in Colombia for a smarter and more sustainable city. The Chamber of Commerce in Colombia plays a significant part in supporting and advancing the interests of businesses in the nation. Through their campaigns, they point to foster financial development, attract investments, and advocate for policies that advantage the business community (Anthopoulos, 2015).

For a long time, there has been a focus on building smart and sustainable cities in Colombia. These cities utilize innovation, information, and innovative practices to improve efficiency, sustainability, and liveability. The Chamber Campaign in Colombia assignment has been effectively included in promoting and implementing activities that adjust with the standards of smart and sustainable cities (Alonso-Gonzalez et al., 2018).

In this project, they are using Cisco’s technology, in which they are using advanced sensors with cameras and a Wi-Fi hotspot in the location to navigate the traffic on the roads. In this project, they are installing these advanced materials for a better quality of life, security, education, and health for the people of Colombia (Alonso-Gonzalez et al., 2018). For the better future of the citizens, they are using information and communication technology. For example, to reduce carbon footprints they are using smart lighting systems to reduce energy consumption, for estimating and navigating traffic, they're using smart mobility systems, for controlling crimes they are using smart sensor cameras on the roads to enhance the safety of the citizens, for a better quality of education they're using smart education system like projectors in the classrooms and they are focusing on sustainable practices in which they are managing the waste and using the smart environment system to apply in this project (Alonso-Gonzalez et al., 2018).
