Liverpool John Moores University, sometimes known as LJMU, is an open research university. The university's history goes back to 1823 when the Liverpool Mechanics' School of Arts was originally established, and it had a rich history. Eventually, the institution was renamed the Liverpool Polytechnic. It was given university status in 1992, and the present name Liverpool John Moores University was given to it. The University Alliance, Northern Consortium, and European University Association are among the university's formal affiliations.
The institution has three campuses: I M Marsh, Mount Pleasant Campus, and Campus City Campus, located in Liverpool, England. Some of the city's most important buildings and departments can be found in the area. The Faculty of Law and Business is located on the Mount Pleasant Campus. The Community, Education, and Leisure faculty is housed on the I M Marsh Campus in Aigburth. Modern amenities are available in all 3 locations.

It also has a thriving community of over 23,000 students from over 100 different nations. Students are also allowed to learn under the supervision of 2,400 members of staff. With 250 degree programmes, the university is among the most vibrant and forward-thinking higher education universities in the nation.
Aside from that, the institution has three libraries located on each of its campuses. The LRCs' library holdings contain over 68,500 tangible resources, and over 1,600 workspaces are open to students throughout the day. There are also around 16,000 electronic books and 5,000 electronic journals stored there. The Liverpool Students' Union is the student union that represents the student community. Students can also engage in a variety of sporting events. Cricket, tennis, basketball, football, volleyball, rugby league and union, hockey, swimming, American football, netball, badminton, and cycling are among the university's several sports teams. BUCS events are attended by several of the sports teams.
